Depixus MAGNA One™ instrument being evaluated by VIB Tech Watch, Ghent, Belgium

A new Depixus MAGNA One™ instrument has been installed in the VIB Tech Watch Core lab in Ghent, Belgium, with Jérôme Maluenda and Christopher Cleavelin from our science and engineering teams overseeing the installation.

Based on Magnetic Force Spectroscopy (MFS), Depixus MAGNA one delivers direct, dynamic data on thousands of individual biomolecular interactions. The first technical data has been generated on the system and researchers from four labs at VIB are now putting it through its paces to explore protein-protein and protein-peptide interactions with unprecedented scale and resolution.

The Tech Watch team will be evaluating Depixus MAGNA One with a view to implementing the system at VIB. As experts in emerging technologies, Sarah Geurs and her colleagues Toon Swings and Wai Long Tam are well-placed to provide detailed feedback on how our instrument performs and how researchers are putting it to work to see molecular biology as it really happens.
